This time, our newest addition is a Volkswagen icon, reinvented for the future. The ID.Buzz, one of Volkswagen's most recognizable vehicles reimagined, will arrive in Canada in 2024. Taking cues from the DNA of the iconic Type 2 Microbus this all-new electric vehicle takes all that style and space and reinvents it for the electric era.

Although not many specific details of the ID.Buzz have been released, it has electrified the world with curiosity and anticipation since its initial reveal. With a spectacular range of up to 400 km and an 80% recharge in only 30 minutes, the ID.Buzz will be sure to take you to new destinations to make memories you will remember forever. The 5, 6 or 7 seater SUV will offer all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive options and will be packed with an impressive and innovative selection of driver assistance systems.

The ID. Buzz is being introduced with these new systems to ensure a convenient and safe driving experience, a commitment Volkswagen continues to uphold within the design of our vehicles. With the tap of a turn signal lever, the vehicle can perform assisted lane changes on the road with Travel Assist. The system can also keep the vehicle in its lane, maintain a distance from the vehicle in front and also ensure that the vehicle keeps to a maximum speed set by the driver. Travel Assist adapts itself to the driver's driving style and can also keep the vehicle further left or right in the lane instead of exactly in the center With Park Assist Plus's memory function, the electric bus learns individual parking maneuvers and can then repeat them on its own. Talk about the future of driving!

As more ID vehicles hit the roads, anonymized swarm data will allow the car's driver assistance systems to improve dramatically. By collecting swarm data from other nearby vehicles, Travel Assist data can use just one identified road lane marking to keep the vehicle in lane as well as actively support lane changes if this is desired by the driver. Other features include swerve support, oncoming vehicle braking when turning, Driver Alert System, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Front Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Monitoring, Dynamic Road Sign Display and the Car2X traffic hazard alert function, where vehicles inform each other of critical situations.

Volkswagen's newest addition to their electric fleet, the ID.Buzz, is a step in the right direction towards a sustainable future while connecting with the past, keeping electric vehicles affordable and prioritizing safety.
